Mr. John (Jack) Hague of Sundre, Alberta passed away peacefully with family and best friends at his side at Sundre Hospital on January 11,2026 after a lengthy illness at the age of 76 years.

Jack was born and raised in Woodstock, Ontario and moved to B.C. in the late 70’s and shortly after to Alberta. He was a roofer, but chose to drive a taxi and dispatch, then we moved to Sundre and spent the next 25 years there. He worked at a Shell service station and Bergen Liquor Store.

The next true love after his wife, he enjoyed horse racing with his dear friends Dawson, Derrick, Shawn, Bob and Bill. His friend Derrick won tickets and transportation to The Derby in Kentucky.

He will be lovingly missed by wife Jean, dear friends, Brian and Tammy, Derrick and Jill, Chester and Tara, Norene and Phyllis and many more family and numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents John and Margaret, sisters Susan and Mary and his son Steven.

A Celebratory Come and Go Tea will be held at the Sundre Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 223, 135 – 6 St SE, Sundre, Alberta, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
