Mr. David ‘Wayne’ Oxtoby of Innisfail, Alberta passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2024 at the age of 74 years. Wayne was born on July 21, 1949 at Innisfail, Alberta, where he went to school and later graduated. He farmed with his family from the mid 1960’s until the year 2000, when the farm was sold. Wayne then pursued starting his own trucking company and ran the company until his retirement. He met and married Sheila Mackenzie-Grieves in 1969, they later divorced. He met his second wife, Colleen Wattie, they were married in 1994. Wayne loved to travel and see many parts of the world, he also loved to ski and had a big attraction for his motorbikes – especially Harleys in his later years. Wayne will be lovingly remembered his son, Curtis Oxtoby of Innisfail, Alberta, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and his brother, Brian Oxtoby of Innisfail, Alberta. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tanya Oxtoby, parents Jackie and Russel Oxtoby, and a sister, Heather Welty. A Celebration of Wayne’s Life will be held at a later date.
