Mr. Bert Maurice Geurtsen, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at the age of 75 years. Bert was born in Holland on December 3, 1949. He spent most of his life in Wetaskiwin working as an electrician, a trade he took great pride in. He also had a passion for woodworking. Whether he was building furniture, or fixing something around the house, he found satisfaction in working with his hands and creating things that were useful and lasting. Bert will be lovingly remembered by his family. He is survived by his son, Robin (wife Jenni); and grandchild, Evan, as well as his siblings, Geurt, Wilma and Pat. He was predeceased by his parents, Henk and Betsy. In keeping with Bert’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service.
