1949 – 2026

Linda Irene Honey passed away peacefully in Red Deer, Alberta, on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at the age of 76 years. Linda was born to Irene (nee Steel) and James Honey in Calgary, Alberta, on Monday, December 26, 1949. Linda lived a long life shaped not by ease, but by resilience, routine, and the steady presence of those who cared for her day in and day out. Linda is survived by her stepfather, George Mulloy; her sisters; her brothers; and with a special acknowledgement to her one brother, Allan (nee Honey) Mulloy, who remained in contact with her over the years. More than anything, Linda was loved by her extended family of caregivers and support workers, who shared most of her life journey. Through patience, kindness, and constancy, they ensured Linda was safe, respected, and never truly alone. Their care formed the foundation of her daily world, and their commitment gave Linda stability, dignity, and comfort. Linda’s family especially thanks her longtime family of caregivers, Doris Ventanilla, Annaliza Limos, Glenda Esplana, Leamor Cruz, Rowena Tordil, Mary Laconsay and Melyza Saturno for their extraordinary care and kindness. Linda will be remembered quietly, tenderly, and with gratitude by those who knew her best. Rest in peace sweet Linda.
