It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Shirley Fay Nevins on Sunday, July 2, 2023 at the age of 75 years. Shirley enjoyed her time in Europe with Wayne while he was stationed in the Air Force. Some of her many loves were spending time with friends and family (especially her grandkids), curling and crocheting. Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jason, (Angie and Calder) Nevins, Curtis, (Brandi, Brayla, and Addisyn) Nevins, and Andrea Nevins, (Savannah, Ethan, and Jaxson Willette.) Shirley will also be sadly missed by her sister, Judy Dobinson and family, and her sister-in-law, Sonnia Larocque and family. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Nevins, her parents, Louis and Lillian Larocque, her brother, Henry Larocque and her brother-in-law, Lylle Dobinson, as well as her beloved dog, Farley. Shirley will be sadly missed by many more family and friends. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Mah, the staff at Villa Marie, and the Dialysis Unit. A Public Visitation will be held at the Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Shirley’s Life will be held at 144 Vanson Close, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Please come by and enjoy a glass of Baby Duck and some laughs.
