James ‘Jim’ Rene Malo passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, at the age of 77 years. Jim was born in Kenora, Ontario and moved to Moosejaw, Saskatchewan before moving to Red Deer, Alberta. He joined the army at 18 years old. After the military, Jim worked for numerous oil companies all over the world on ocean rigs. Jim married his beloved wife, Joan in 1988 and together they traveled the world until they retired in Markerville, Alberta. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Denise (Chris Cook) Malo, his grand daughters, Samantha Cuch, Brook Pinder, Sky Pinder and Breanna Malo. Jim will also be deeply missed by his brother, Tom Malo, his sister, Roberta Malo and numerous nieces and nephews. In keeping with Jim’s wishes a Funeral Service will not be held.
