It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jackie Van Tighem on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, in Olds, Alberta, at the age of 78 years. She leaves a legacy of sincere love that will be dearly missed.

Jackie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness, thoughtfulness, and steady love touched all who knew her. She had a special way of making people feel cherished, often through handwritten notes and carefully chosen gifts.

A wonderful cook and gracious host, Jackie was happiest when bringing loved ones together for dinners and family celebrations. Her meals were exceptional, and her desserts were especially memorable.

Jackie also had a gifted green thumb, and her yard and plants were always beautifully cared for. Her effortless sense of style was admired whether she was dressed for a special occasion or simply running errands. She carried herself with elegance, a touch of flair, and an easy smile.

Family meant everything to Jackie. Her generous spirit, infectious laugh, and genuine interest in others will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed.

Jackie will be lovingly remembered by her son, Travis Van Tighem (Amy) of Dewitt, Michigan, and her grandsons, Cameron and Carson Van Tighem. She is also survived by her sister, Sandra Cadman; niece Kimberlee Jenkins (Kent); nephews, Kelly Larson and Clayton Vollmin; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Meagan, Nicole, Elias, Finn, and Willow. Jackie was predeceased by her father, Robert Vollmin of Olds; her mother, Dorothy Price of Cremona; and her brothers, Keith Vollmin of Calgary and Lee Vollmin of Olds.

In accordance with Jackie’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
