It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of Sharon Lynn Denis in Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at the age of 74 years. Sharon was born on February 4, 1947 to Roscoe and Lila ‘Evelyn’ Smith. From a young age, the family moved to Montreal, where she grew into adulthood and became a hairdresser, a waitress and a mother of two daughters. She moved to Kelowna in 1985 to be close to family; where she worked in the Food Industry until 2002, when she moved to Red Deer to be close to her daughter, son in law and granddaughters continuing her career at various Health Care Facilities as a Dietary Aide. In her times away from work she loved to cook, spend time with her family and was an avid curling fan. Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Wendy (Bob) Wiebe from Lacombe, her two grandchildren, Jennifer (Brodie) and Jessica from Lacombe and her sister Gerry-Lee Smith of Chase, British Columbia; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon was predeceased by her father, Roscoe, her mother, Evelyn and a daughter Lee-Ann. A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if desires, Memorial Donations in Sharon’s honor may be made to the Lupus Society of Alberta at www.lupus.ab.ca.
