Ms. Millie Edith Pardell passed away peacefully in her sleep, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at the age of 76 years. Millie worked as a Pediatric Nurse at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre for forty years. Family, church, service and friends were cornerstones of her life. She was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League until her health declined. Millie will be lovingly remembered by her brothers, Stan (Mary) Pardell and Edward (Irene) Pardell; her sisters, Mary Purschke and Annie (Jean) Van Straten, as well as her numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family is grateful for the Palliative Care that was provided by the Doctors and staff and the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. She was able to spend her final days in the place that was her second home for many years. Millie’s last message was to thank everyone for all they have done for her over the years. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at the Lake View Cemetery, Stettler, Alberta.
