With sadness, the family announces the passing of Mrs. Fay Patricia Richardson (Bennett), who entered into rest on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Fay is survived by her Children and Grandchildren, Ron (Kaela), Dharian, Donavon, Kayle and Tycen Richardson, Johlian (Derek), Aris, Alena and Ariana Arseneault. Fay’s siblings Zella Hill, George (Marianne) Bennett, her sister-in-law Janet Bennett and many nieces and nephews. Fay was predeceased by her parents Cliff and Dorthay, her husband Gordie Richardson and her siblings Bob Bennett and Wes Bennett. Fay was born on May 30, 1947, in Airdrie Alberta to Cliff and Dorthay Bennett. Fay grew up on the family farm outside of Airdrie Alberta. She became a school teacher, teaching many grades, however her favorite being elementary students. After teaching, Fay bought and operated the Bearberry Store restaurant, where she met her husband, Gordie. They later moved to their farm just outside of Sundre to farm and raise their twin children. Fay was well known in the Sundre area, she had many hobbies but her most enjoyed were quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting and having a cup of coffee or glass of wine with friends. Fay enjoyed the company of many children by relation and nonrelation lovingly referring to her as “Aunty Fay” well into their adult years. But Fay loved being “Nan” to her grandchildren which was her favorite and most enjoyed title. Fay remained in Sundre close to her family and friends. Spending most of her time with her seven grandchildren. In her own words “not spoiling just loving lots”.
