May was born on a farm just outside of Virden, Manitoba August 18, 1947 and passed peacefully away at the Red Deer Regional hospital on August 2, 2024 at the age of 76 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Sadie and Goldie Croft, and her sister Joy. May leaves to mourn with cherished memories, her husband Joe, son Kevin (Melissa) and four grandchildren, Katie, Logan, Jaymie and Jayden Shevchenko.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Unit 35, for their exceptional care in May’s final days.
Although you have left an enormous void, we have so many cherished memories. Even in your passing, family and friends spent time with you to say goodbye and God bless, sharing stories from the past, prayers, music from the gospel and blessings of happier times.
You fought the good fight through numerous illnesses all your life, waiting until we were all together before talking your last breath, passing peacefully and happily knowing those you loved were with you. We love and miss you always, you’ve touched and blessed so many in your 76 years. Heaven and the good Lord received you with open arms and a warm heart.
