Mr. Leslie Arthur Highfield passed away peacefully on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the age of 84 years. Les was employed at Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting, HudBay Minerals at Flin Flon, Manitoba. He also worked at Westridge Cabinets in Red Deer. before moving to Innisfail, Alberta where he eventually retired. He enjoyed carpentry and fishing and put many hours into creating Christmas displays and playing Santa for many kids at Christmas. He will be sadly missed. Les is survived by his wife Karen, his children, Katherine Helmer, Troy Wavercan, Darla, Shelley, Scott, Crystal, Corrine, Bonnie, Kelly, and John; numerous Grandchildren including Olive Helmer, Great Grandchildren and many Foster children. Les will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Ted and Clifford Highfield of Flin Flon, Manitoba, his sisters, Allyson Makar of Wanless, Manitoba and Penny Sommers of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Les was predeceased by his parents, Ron and Hester Highfield, his son, Douglas Andrew, and his brother, Douglas Nyall. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
