1946 ~ Patricia Wynne ~ 2024 "Her faith was firm, and because of that, the next time she opens her eyes, she will see the face of God. She was ready, she was tired. She didn’t like to say “goodbye” at the end of our evening conversations...it was always….just…..”goodnight. I love you, Pussy Cat.” “Goodnight, Mom. I love you too”."

It is with heavy hearts that my brother, Klay Johnson and I, Chrys Sullivan, grieve the death of our beloved mother, Patricia Wynne, who passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the age of 77 years.
Patricia was born and raised in Southern California. She married a Navy man, Anthony Johnson, and moved to Canada in 1966. They had four children, Keven, Chrystine, Klay and Kenneth. Two of her four children predeceased her, Keven and Kenneth.
Patricia moved to Alberta from Thunder Bay Ontario, in the early ‘80’s to attend Canadian Union College. She had such an amazing energy and brilliant mind, as well as a quirky sense of humour. Anyone that knew her would say the same. After her time at College, she moved to Red Deer, and ran the Red Deer Food Bank. She also worked as a care giver at Catholic Social Services, retiring in her sixties. She enjoyed time with friends and family. Patricia also played violin with the Calgary Symphony.
She was very proud of all of her children. Most of all, she loved being a great grandma, otherwise known as GG. She always said, “It’s not weird being a great grandma, but having a daughter that is a grandma….now THAT’s weird”. Family was very important to her…..especially her church family. Who can forget the big move, when the whole church showed up to help her move to a ground floor apartment. What a blessing to be a part of the family of God.
Her faith was firm, and because of that, the next time she opens her eyes, she will see the face of God. She was ready, she was tired.
She didn’t like to say “goodbye” at the end of our evening conversations…it was always….just…..”goodnight. I love you, Pussy Cat.”
“Goodnight, Mom. I love you too”.
