Mrs. Marion ‘Julie’ Oldfield of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at home on Monday, October 9, 2023 at the age of 77 years. Julie was born in McLennan, Alberta on January 24, 1946, to Carmeline and William Kirkland. Julie moved to Edmonton in 1965 and married George Oldfield on May 20, 1967. She loved her dogs and spending time with her family and friends. Julie will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of her family and dear friends. Julie will be lovingly remembered by her husband, George Oldfield; her children and their families, Rhonda (Jason) Braaksma, Samantha, Mackenzie and Ashley; Christine (David) McGrath and Lauren; and Michael (Jennifer) Oldfield, Corbin and Preston. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Gail (Mark) Leduc and her brothers, Kevin Kirkland (Brent Hocking) and Bill (Doris) Kirkland, as well as numerous family members. Julie was predeceased by her parents, Carmeline and William Kirkland; her sisters, Carol Bush and Sylvia LaFlamme and her brother, Glen Kirkland.
