Mrs. Janice Ann Moore (nee Harder) of Pine Lake, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, with her husband, Charles Moore, and her daughter, Val Domoney by her side, on Friday, April 22, 2022 at the age of 76 years. Janice was born in Wetaskiwin, Alberta on February 8, 1946. She was the second of five children born to Jack and Effie Harder. Janice and her family moved to various communities throughout Central Alberta, following her dad’s work in construction and making friends wherever she went. While living in the Bowden area, Janice met the love of her life, Charles Moore, a farmer/rancher from Pine Lake; who immediately was smitten by this pretty young singer/songwriter. Charles and Janice were married on October 12, 1963 in Bowden, and began their life together working and living on the Moore Ranch. Janice soon became a busy mother of three children, twins, Roselie and Valerie, and son, Bradley. Janice enjoyed working with the cattle, running farm equipment, singing, playing her guitar, attending fastball and slow pitch games, and volunteering at community events. She dearly loved her three children and seven grandchildren, and greatly enjoyed spending time with them on the ranch. Janice will be lovingly remembered husband of fifty-eight years, Charles Moore, and her daughter, Valerie Domoney, both of Pine Lake, Alberta; her seven grandchildren, Kyle (Kelsey) Domoney, Cassie Domoney, Lacey Engman (Shawn), all of Red Deer, Alberta, Trent Domoney of Pine Lake, Alberta, Clenton Engman (Lisa) of Innisfail, Alberta, Mason Engman of Red Deer, Alberta, Trevor Engman (Dani), of Penhold, Alberta; and her great grandchild, Dixon Engman of Innisfail, Alberta. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Judy (Bob) Buckler of Vernon, British Columbia, Carol (Ted) Dekkers and her brother, Vernon Harder, all of Chilliwack, British Columbia, her sisters-in-law, Judy (Earl) Dreeshen, and Bonnie (Danny) Langevin, all of Pine Lake, Alberta; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Janice was predeceased by a son, Bradley Moore (1980); her parents, Jack Harder (1983) and Effie Harder (2015); her parents-in-law, Cecil Moore (1996) and Lydia Moore (2007); a daughter, Roselie Engman (2020); a son-in-law, Andy Engman (2020); and a sister, Cynthia Harder-Burke (2022).
