Mr. Anthony ‘Tony’ Joseph Spearin passed away peacefully in Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the age of 77 years. Tony was born on December 12, 1946, in Westlock, Alberta to Robert and Merilda Spearin. Growing up, Tony was eager to help on the family farm with his parents, his three younger brothers, and his two younger sisters in Dapp, Alberta. He continued with his strong work ethic and helpful spirit as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic for well over forty years, finding his calling in the repair of heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Tony was organized, resourceful, and good with his hands, and was known to always be fixing things, or making things. He never lacked a desire to help others and will be remembered for his pleasant and kind nature. Tony’s memory will be cherished by his wife of fifty-two years, Darlene, his sons, Tyler and Ben, and his grandson, Jett. He will also be sadly missed by his two sisters, his three brothers, and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews. We sincerely thank the many caregivers at Timberstone Mews and Bethany CollegeSide in Red Deer who gave Tony excellent care.
