1945 – 2025
It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Mrs. Sheila Marie Reckseidler of Delburne, Alberta, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the age of 79 years. Sheila was a loving mother to Shauna (Henry) Zenteno, James, Jeff (Martha), Jarrett, and Jason Reckseidler. She is survived by her devoted husband of sixty years, Raymond Reckseidler, and her six cherished grandchildren, Alejandro, Hanna, Kieran, Celeste, Emma, and Ethan. An active and engaged member of her community, Sheila served on the Provincial Board of Community Futures, was a Red Deer County School board member, and volunteered on various boards in Delburne. She found joy in her oil painting, knitting, crocheting, and had a lifelong love of reading. Family was at the heart of everything Sheila did. She was incredibly proud of her children and grandchildren and celebrated their every accomplishment. Sheila was deeply grateful for the unwavering support of Charity, Susan, Marilyn, Carolyn, Wendy, Lynette, her cousin Diane, and many other friends and family members during her courageous battle with cancer. The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Prajapatti and the staff at the Red Deer Cancer Centre for their compassionate care.
