Marlene Jennie Letal of Red Deer, Alberta passed away, peacefully at home, on Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the age of 76 years. Marlene was the youngest of the surviving siblings of the late Roy and Maude (nee Andrews) Powell of Nova Scotia. Marlene moved to Alberta, and lived in various places in the Province. She moved to Red Deer ten years ago, and enjoyed visiting her daughter’s farm. Marlene loved the animals, and they loved her back. Marlene will be lovingly remembered by her children, Larry Letal of Calgary, Alberta and Julie Letal of Claresholm, Alberta and her grandson, Tony. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Doris of Florida and Barbara of Ontario; as well as many other family members and dear friends. Marlene was predeceased by her parents, Maude and Roy Powell; her sisters, Helen, Cheryl and Louise; and her very close friend, Judy. At Marlene’s request, no service will be held.
