It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jerry Donald Wallace announce his passing on November 2, 2024, at the age of 76.
Jerry was born July 24, 1948, to Jim and Helen Wallace in Regina SK. Jerry grew up in Milestone SK. In his late teens Jerry joined the Canadian Military and was stationed in Chilliwack BC. After leaving the army, he went to work on a dairy farm in the lower mainland of BC. In 1986 Jerry moved to Olds and began working for the Town. In the summer Jerry loved working in the parks and looking after the flowers. In the winter he could be found keeping the ice surfaces at the arena in tip top shape for the hockey players and figure skaters. He truly loved being part of the Town. In his spare time, he could be found at the golf course, spending time with his family or watching the Detroit Red Wings and Saskatchewan Roughriders. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Jim and Helen Wallace; his brother-in-law Gary Mowrey, first wife Sharon Wiksy; second wife Jane Vandermeer. He will be lovingly remembered by his sister Joanne Mowrey; son Jason (Tara) Wallace; son Tyler (Lisa) Wallace and daughter Erin (Alex) Wallace – Goreham; grandchildren Stepfanie Bennet, Kaila Winquist, Lila Goreham and great grandchildren Carson and Holly.
