It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wallace Seifried at the Innisfail Health Care Centre, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the age of 81 years.

Wallace was born in Trochu, Alberta on July 13, 1944, to Adolph and Alma Seifried, and was the fourth of thirteen children. He spent years working in drywall and later worked as a maintenance man at the Innisfail Hospital. After retiring twenty years ago, he had a bucket list which was completed and spent many years traveling with Dorian and Juanita Brown.

Wallace is lovingly remembered by his wife, Donna, whom he was married to for fifty-five years, less two days; his sons, Shawn (Wanda) and Sheldon (Chrystal); and his four grandchildren; Gabe, Poppy, Cameron and Rowan. He is also survived by his siblings, Shirley, Darlene (John), Elaine, Audrey (Ernie), Larry (Karen) and Cindy (Darren); as well as brother-in-law; Floyd Wacker; his sister-in-law, Angela Cleary; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Wallace was predeceased by his parents, Adolph and Alma; sisters, Doreen, Delphine and Bev, his brothers, Keith, Clinton and Gary; brothers-in-law, Richard, Fred and Dunc; his sisters-in-law, Edna and Laurie; and his mother-in-law Elsie Moffat.

Wallace suffered from Inclusion Body Myositis, a muscle disease that slowly takes away one’s dignity.

If desired, memorial donations in Wallace’s name can be made to the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion #104 Poppy Project.

At Wallace’s request, there will be no funeral or celebration of life.
