Margaret Inga Greenlee (nee Skundberg) passed away peacefully, on Friday, January 28, 2022 at the age of 77 years. Margaret was born in Bengough, Saskatchewan, and raised in the rural area of Big Beaver and Buffalo Gap, Saskatchewan. Margaret attended the Saskatchewan Technical Institute in Saskatoon, graduating from Nursing School in 1966. Her career took her to the Saskatchewan locations of Prince Albert and Estevan, then Alberta locations of Lethbridge and Red Deer. After a proud and satisfying nursing career of forty plus years, Margaret retired in 2009. Margaret volunteered at Senior Citizens Downtown House in Red Deer for several years, serving several positions including President. She enjoyed playing cards; especially cribbage, and a proud moment was winning the Royal Canadian Legion Provincial Tournament, taking her to the Dominion-level Tournament in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She will be sadly missed by her siblings, Albert, Garnet (Bruce) Bickner, Judy Greenwood, Mary Westendorp, Gordon (Theresa), Eva (Colleen), Harry (Jan); her in-laws, Karen Ellenwood, Trevor Greenlee, and Ron (Barb) Greenlee; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind many friends and acquaintances from many years of nursing and volunteering. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Roy Greenlee and a son, Rodney; her parents, Edwin and Beatrice Skundberg, her parents-in-law, Harold and Ruth Greenlee; and her brothers-in-law, Melvin Greenwood, Ken Ellenwood, and Bert Westendorp. The family wishes to express a special heartfelt thank you to her brother-in-law, Trevor Greenlee and her neighbours for their care while she went through this phase of her life.
Rest in peace, Margaret.
