Robert Allan Akitt passed away on Sunday, September 19, at the age of 78. After fighting hard to get home and back to farming – Robert died peacefully with his beloved family by his side.
Farming is a passion and requires a strong mind, big heart and profound patience to weather the long hours, harsh conditions and unpredictable market. This was how Robert’s lived his life. It tells not only his passion for farming, but his passion for his family and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Judy; children Loretta (Jeff), Leanne (Scott), and Mark (Michelle); grandchildren Richard (Nikole), Ivan, Shannon and Olivia; great-granddaughter’s Emma and Lyra; brothers Don and David (Marion); as well as numerous relatives and friends.
Robert was predeceased by his parents Richard and Alice, brothers Carl and Bruce, sister Rosina and cousin Faye.
A Celebration of Life will take place at the Akitt Family Farm October 9th at 2 pm. Please bring your own lawn chair.
