Mrs. Nancy Lee Yamniuk (nee Roland) of Red Deer, Alberta passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at
the age of 80 years. Nancy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on January 24, 1942. On August 22, 1970,
Nancy married the love of her life, Joe Yamniuk at Kapuskasing, Ontario. Nancy worked in the
Insurance Industry for thirty-four years before her retirement in 1993. After retirement, Nancy became a
member of the Associated Canadian Travellers in 1996. She also volunteered much of her time at the
Red Deer Museum. Nancy was an avid camper and spent much of her spare time at the Wilderness
Village Campground Resort at Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. Nancy will be lovingly remembered by
her husband of fifty-one years, Joe Yamniuk, her son, Craig (Deb) Steel, her daughter, Riley, her
granddaughters, Sarah and Kayla Steel and their mother, Pamela Ropcean, her sister, Carol Ammon, her
brother, Chuck (Connie) Roland and her four nieces and nephews, and all of Red Deer and Calgary,
Alberta. Nancy was predeceased by her father in 1960 and her mother in 1988. If desired, Memorial
Donations in Nancy’s honor may be made directly to the Associated Canadian Travellers of Red Deer to
help with their work with the physically handicapped or to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at
www.cysticfibrosis.ca. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium. At Joe’s
request, there will be no service. A Memorial Tea will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch
Number 35, 2810, Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta. Condolences, memories and photos may be
