With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mrs. Mary Chadwick on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the age of 83 years. Mary was born in Harrogate, England on April 7, 1942. Mary took her schooling at the United Leeds Hospital of Physiotherapy and graduated in 1964. She immigrated to Canada in 1967 and called it home. Mary loved to cook and hosted many gatherings. She enjoyed traveling and her fridge was full of magnets from all the places she had been. She was a kind, generous and compassionate soul who had a great faith within the St Mary’s Parish. She will be missed by many who called her friend, sister, Auntie, Grandma, and always, Mom.

Mary leaves behind her daughter, Jean (Shawn); and two beloved grandchildren, Alyssa and Blake; and a sister, Margaret (John). Mary rejoins her parents, William and Hannah; and her loving husband, George.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated in honour of Mary at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 11:00a.m. with a luncheon that followed. If desired, Memorial Donations in honour of Mary may be sent to the Red Deer Hospice Society at https://reddeerhospice.com/.
