Mr. Allan Sparks of Innisfail, Alberta passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2025, at the age of 83 years. Allan was born on May 23, 1942 at the Innisfail Hospital Robert and Barbara Sparks. He grew up in the Calder area before marrying the love of his life, Joyce Smith. The couple made their home at Horseshoe Lake where they lived together until Allan’s passing.
A hardworking and devoted man, Allan played a significant role on both his own farm and in supporting the farms of his children throughout the years. His presence and guidance will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Allan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost sixty-four years, Joyce and their four children, Lee Sparks of Elnora, Wayne (Lorrie) Sparks of Innisfail, Brad (Carla) of Bowden and Carolyn (Wayne) Worthington of Bowden, his ten grandchildren, Brett (Meghan), Reed (Tanis), Melissa (Kirk), Colbee, Colton (Shaylen), Brooke (Damian), Levi (Jesse), Dylan, Sydney, and Pacey, his great grandchildren, Boone, Drey, Cooper, Layne, Hayes, Oakley, Von, Axten, Emery, Rylen and Kayce
Allan is also deeply missed by his brothers, Norman Sparks of Edmonton and Roy Sparks of Innisfail, his brother-in-law, David Fisher of Red Deer and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Grace and Ben Gillrie as well as numerous relatives.
A Celebration of Allan’s life was held at the Paterson Bowden Community Hall at Bowden, Alberta from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Innisfail Home Care at the Innisfail Health Care Centre.
