It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Mr. Alan Stuart Laycox at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on June 6, 2026 at the age of 83 years. Alan was born in Vancouver, British Columbia on November 14, 1942. He spent his early years in Trail and Penticton before relocating to Medley, Alberta where he worked as a medical assistant and furthered his career.

In 1968, Alan joined the Canadian Armed Forces and proudly served his country for twenty-eight years. During his military career, he was posted to Germany on several occasions and served during both Operation Desert Storm and the Gulf War. In recognition of his dedication and distinguished service, Alan received numerous medals and commendations throughout his career. His final posting was at CFB Penhold, after which he retired in 1993 and settled with his family in Innisfail, Alberta.

Alan will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Denise Laycox; his son, Michael Laycox; his daughter Shauna Laycox; as well as five cherished grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life was held at the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion Branch #104 on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
