It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mom, Darlene Allen.
Darlene was born on November 28, 1942 in Ontario. Mom was a wonderful and kind lady that did so much for so many. Mom was a wonderful cook, and filled many requests for different dishes, especially her pierogis which were enjoyed by many. Mom was a great baker, as children we always remember coming home from school to fresh cinnamon buns, donuts all warm and fresh. She also loved gardening, and always had three little girls to help her tend the garden. She always had plenty of produce to can and freeze, and always had extra to give to those who didn’t have. Mom loved her flowers; she always had her yard full of beautiful flowers and trees. Many plants she started herself in her own little greenhouse. Our Mom loved music; she always played her records, and always comforted us at bedtime singing all the old songs from long ago. She continued doing that with her grandchildren until soon they too knew all the words. Mom was happy to know her great grandchildren are now comforted by those very songs, and also know all the words. Mom was always up for a game of cards whether with her children or grandchildren, she was a very competitive player and did not always take well to losing. We had many laughs, and good times. Mom loved her grandchildren, and loved to spoil them. They were the light of her life.
Our mom with be forever missed by her daughters; Corry Klassen (Danny), Roxanne Callaghan (Tim), April Phillips (Trent Mitchell). Grandchildren; Brandi Moskal (Zach), Tyson, Haley. Riley Fischl (Felisha), Dexter, Ava, Mia, Raigen, Kaleb. Justin Klassen ( Desiree) Kassini, Karea, Jasmin Klassen (Cody), Deandra. As well as her siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, her spiritual family, and many, many friends.
Mom was predeceased by her loving parents, Bernard and Virginia Allen, brothers; Eddie Allen, Lyle Allen, Jimmy Allen. Sisters; Vivian Poppl, Edna Ilg, Della Wood and her son in law Kevin Phillips.
Mom will remain to live on in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; she will forever be in our hearts.
“Mom your stories will continue to be shared, we will cherish every memory. Until we see you again rest easy our sweet momma. Love “your girls”
