Carol Marjorie Fuller passed away peacefully at the Calgary Foothills Hospital on August 10, 2026, with her family by her side. Fred and Joan Auvigne welcomed their first child, Carol, on February 28, 1942, in Wayne Alberta. The family moved to Ardley for a short period before settling in Delburne, where she was raised alongside her three brothers. Carol met her high school sweetheart LaVerne Fuller and they were married in 1959. They raised their five children in the Innisfail area. Carol proudly was a stay-at-home mom, which flourished generational love of gardening, canning, cooking, baking, and playing lots of cards. Between the dedication and busyness of raising her children and creating a warm, loving home, she also found time to give back to the Innisfail community. Carol’s commitment to her community started with The Legion Ladies Auxiliary where she served over 40 years. Her dedication continued with her service on the Red Hatters, Canadian Royal Purple, The Salvation Army Thrift Store, and The Christian Women’s Club. Many would remember Carol’s cheerfulness at the D&R drive thru window or from her years of work at the Innisfail Hospital, where she retired at the age of 65. After retirement, she met her life companion, Wayne Moenchs, and relocated to Didsbury, where together they enjoyed camping at Westward Ho, travelling to watch many chuckwagon races and being active members of 5-0 Club. Their weeks were filled with shuffleboard, floor curling, singing, endless cards games over lunch and teas and lots of visits with their friends and family in and around Didsbury.
She is loving remembered by her spouse Wayne, her five children, Victor (Patty), Dale (Denise), Sherry (Mark), Sharleen (Dwayne) and LaVerne Carol (Tom), her grandchildren Caiden, Dallas (Ty) Camryn (Chance), Dustin, Dayla, Daniel, Amanda (Kraig), Michael, Nicole, Alysa, Justice, Ocean and her great-grandchildren, Charity, Paisley, Kolson, Emma, Blakely and Hadley. As well as her brothers, Earl (Fran), and Ken, her sister-in-law Jean, her stepson, Russell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carol was predeceased by her parents Fred and Joan Auvigne, her brother Donald, and sister Lisa, and her sister in laws, Connie and Joanne. We will always remember her love for owls, flowers, everything purple, and her homemade bread, buns and squares. We will miss the way her smile lit up a room, her deep squeeze hugs that washed your worries away, her sassy over the shoulder card throws when she didn’t like the hand she was dealt, and the unconditional love she gave us all.
