Vince entered into rest on Thursday, September 12, 2024 peacefully at the Sundre Hospital with family by his side, at the age of 83 years. With sadness and a heavy heart we say goodbye to Vince, an amazing father, a wonderful grandpa, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Vince will be remembered for his deep love of his family and friends, his joy for hunting and rodeo. Following his retirement from Mountain View County of 33 years he shared his knowledge helping out at Camp Evergreen. Vince enjoyed when friends and family would stop by for a visit as he always had a story to tell. Vince is now at peace with his mother, father, and true love Linda Holt. Vince leaves behind four children: Irene, Brian(Joan), Myrtle(Kim) and Barbara(Rob); six grandchildren Edward(Samantha), Skye(Tyrel), David, Christine(Grant), Michelle(Duston), Adam, Dallas, Austin and Alexis; four great-grandchildren Johnathan, Nathan, Grace and Faith; two brothers Leslie(Jean) and Gilbert as well as numerous special nephews, nieces and friends. Vince was predeceased by his mother and father, William and May Holt; his sister Cynthia Hebner; two brothers Bill Holt and Orville Holt; two grandchildren Amanda Nystrom and Thomas Holt. A private service was held at the Bergen Cemetery on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 and there will be a Celebration of Life in the spring of 2025.
