It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul John Fradette on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the age of 81 years. Paul passed after a short illness with a great number of family and friends by his side. Paul was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and brother. Paul was born in Val d’Or, Quebec on August 18, 1941. Paul had a great love of family and friends. He would live for the moments that he got to hang out at the Sunny Siesta in Sylvan Lake with all of the amazing people surrounding him. Paul was always ready with a great hug or a phenomenal story of his life. We will always remember the Nascar moments that would take over the weekends that there was a race on. He could quote the statistics of every driver. Paul was an avid mechanic that took great pride in building and maintaining his and other’s vehicles. Paul loved the old cars the best and took care to watch all the show and shine parades. As an avid Oilers fan, he would cheer them on every season. Then the rodeo season would start, and he would be in his glory watching the rodeo events and the chuckwagons run. The Boilermakers Union 146 had a special place in his life. Together they built many projects and facilities that will last a lifetime. Left to cherish Paul’s memory are, his loving Angel wife, Myrtle, his daughters, Michelle Fradette and Nicole Lewis, his stepdaughter, Natalie “Dolly” Rieland (Ray), his stepson, Mark Mears (Robyn), his granddaughters, Theo Marie Morgan, Hope Lewis, Amanda Bolger (Mike) and Rachel Rieland, Lexy Healy, Brooke Healy, and Kayla Mears, his fur-granddaughter, Annabelle, his great-grandchildren, Lilly, Jaxson, and Hayden Bolger, his niece, Daniel Fradette his nephews, Richard McBride (Shelly), and Eric Fradette, as well as many other family and friends. Paul was predeceased by his father, Desiree Fradette and his brother, Wilfred Fradette. We would like to extend a special thank you to the amazing care partners at the Points West Living in Red Deer for the loving care, support, and comfort they provided.
