In loving memory, we share the news of Norman Daines passing on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the age of 84 years. Norman (or known as Perk) was born on April 24, 1941, the third of seven sons to Snowden and Ethel Daines. Norman married Hazel Malenowski and in 1967 they welcomed Darcy, Tyrena followed in 1973. Norman had deep roots in farming, something he loved his whole life. He grain farmed with his brother Jim at Daines Farms. He was also a partner with his brothers, Jim, Jack and Danny in the Innisfail Auction Market. He spent many years driving grain truck for his nephew’s silage crews after grain farming. Norman had lots of other passions, he loved to golf, ski and curl. Norman loved people and had many friends. Norman is lovingly remembered by his daughter Tyrena Daines, his grandson Jace Couper and his partner Michelle of Red Deer, and his granddaughter Livia Pieters and her partner Branden of Innisfail. He will also be missed by his brothers, Ivan, Franklin (Shirley), Danny (Dusty), sisters-in-law, Marilyn, Audrey, Donna and Kay, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Norman was predeceased by his son Darcy, his wife, Hazel and his brothers, Jim, Jack and Glen and his niece Stacey.
