Selange ‘Sally’ Scarrow of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice, Red Deer, Alberta after a short courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at the age of 85 years. Sally had an infectious laugh that brought a smile to everyone’s face. She loved being around her great friends and family. Sally was born in Tomstown, Ontario on September 23, 1940. After finishing her education she moved west and began her adult life in Alberta, where she had two children, Michael and Richard, she met and married Harold Scarrow in April of 1991, where she inherited another five children and that eventually became a large gang of prized grandchildren and great grandchildren which she cherished deeply. Harold and Sally travelled for work and pleasure for several fun-filled years, enjoying the company of countless great friends, playing endless games of cards and having more fun than anyone can imagine. Sally will be lovingly remembered by her children, Michael, Richard (Sherry), Bryan, Darren (Shannan), Brenda (Craig), Sean (Sue) Blair; her grandchildren, Tamara, Joel, Brooklynne, Taylor, Chantara, Tanner, Carsan, Ciara, Keaton, Erika and Emma; her great grandchildren, Jersey, Fynlee, Tadgh, Rowit, Alina, Adalyn, Zackary, Kane, Easton, and Aspen. She was predeceased by her husband, Harold in 2014, and her son, Darcy in 2023. Sally had a large extended family at Horizon Village who were extremely supportive and helpful to her and her family during her illness and the family would like to thank them with sincere gratitude. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary’s Parish, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Sally’s honor may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society at https://reddeerhospice.com/.
