Mrs. Margaret ‘Margie’ Mary Stewart passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, at her home, on Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the age of 82 years. She was without pain and was at peace. Margie was born on April 1, 1940 in Calgary Alberta. She was the first child of Jean and Lloyd Lester and a sister to Kathy, Betty, Jim, and Norman, a wife to Wes, a mum to Renee, and Jim, a mother-in-law to Phil and Tracy, a Granny to Sarah, Bill, Megan, Emma, Grayson, Owen, Weston, Lilllian, Hayden, Beau, and Hannah, as well as a friend to the wider community. Margie was well known throughout the Innisfail and Spruce View communities. Margie took great pride in her friendships and considered her days in the Red-Hats’; as a time of absolute fun. Cooking was her passion; Margie owned the Spruce View StopInn Cafe, Motel, and Post Office, and managed the Innisfail Legion Branch No. 104 Snack Bar for a period of time. She ended her career as the owner of “Margie’s” Innisfail. Margie continued to cook
and mentor her family and friends either in her kitchen or theirs. Travel was a passion as well, Margie
lived large. A Celebration of Margie’s Life will be held at the Paterson Community Hall, Bowden,
Alberta on Monday, August 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Margie’s honor may
