Mrs. Audrey Joan Potter passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Villa Mare Covenant Care, Red Deer, Alberta on May 17, 2025 at the age of 84 years. Audrey was born at Regina, Saskatchewan on September 24, 1940 to her parents, Ronald and Bertha Doxsee.
Audrey attended nursing school in Regina, graduating in 1961 as a Registered Nurse – all her life Audrey was passionate about nursing. She came to Alberta and worked in Calgary and Camrose for many years.
In 1981 Audrey married Ray Potter, joining his family of four daughters. Audrey was a gentle spirit with a good heart, loving and supportive of her family, and the best Nana for all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Audrey will be deeply missed by her loving husband Ray, her daughters Lois (Barry), Linda, Laura (Vince), Lorna, and her grandchildren Tyler, Justin, Ashley, Avery, Gavin, Sarah, Andrea, Reuben, as well as her great-grandchildren Scarlett, Audrey, Skye, Blake, Brooklyn, Kayleigh, Freyja, Willow, Seb, and her sister Janice (Murray), nephews Ken, Don, and their families. Audrey was predeceased by her son-in-law, Craig and two granddaughters, Yvonne and Teri Lynn.
A private family Graveside Service will be held at a later date in the Innisfail Cemetery.
