It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Mrs. Angelita Bullecer Capicio. Angelita passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the age of 80 years. Angelita was born in Manila, Philippines, the eldest child of eight children born to Atty. Hilario and Victoriana Bullecer. Angelita grew up in Dupax, Nueva Vizcaya Philippines. She stepped up with her single mother and helped raise her siblings. She graduated college, majoring in Accounting. She then became a professor in Baler, Quezon, Philippines and married Demetrio Capicio. They were blessed with five children. Angelita was sponsored to Canada by her sister-in-law, Rosita and her husband, the Late Cecil Lernowich. She worked many decades in Michener Centre, as a Rehabilitation Practitioner. She was involved with Pioneer of Lord of Pardon Group in Red Deer. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Angelita was instrumental in starting the Filipino Canadian Association in Red Deer and served in various positions as Secretary, Treasurer and Vice President. She was a part of the Charitable Group which donated to the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre to build a non-denominational Chapel. After working at Michener Centre, she took some time off, and then started working part time at Walmart in the Fashion Department with her sister, Emma. Angelita took guardianship of her one year old granddaughter, Mailyn and raised her unconditionally. Angelita will be missed by so many.
