Mr. Garth Field of Red Deer, Alberta passed away unexpectedly, in the arms of his loving wife, Katherine,
after a long and fulfilling life, on Monday, November 20, 2023 at the age of 83 years. He will be forever
remembered, and missed dearly by his wife, Katherine; his children, Glengary (Kendra) Field, Darrell (Julie) Field, Roberta (Brian) Wiwcharuk, Monica (Doug) Kipp, Shawna Field, Chuck (Emily) Elder, Keri (Darcy) Quintal and Tracy (Duane) West-Grover; his thirteen grandchildren, Matthew (Lisa) Field, Nicolas (Lisa) Field, Alexandra Field, Natalie (Ian) Field, Adam (Kassandra) Quintal, Kaytlynn (Craig) Stark, Kylah (Tyler) Quintal, Austin (Kennedy) West, Sera (Taylor) Grover, Braden (Vinny) West, Gracie Quintal, Mallory Kipp and Liam Quintal; and his four great grandchildren, Maeve Quintal, Jax Parkins, Jaimey Stark and Aisa West. He will also be sadly missed by his siblings, Ken (Sheila) Field, Denis (Hilda) Field and Neida (John) Fedak; as well as numerous other family members, dear friends, and a loving community. Garth was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret; his father, Ernest; his mother, Esther; his brother, Grant; his infant sister, and his stepdaughter, Tara Elder.
A Memorial Service was held at Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta on
Monday, November 27, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. Interment took place the following day at the Blackie Cemetery, Blackie, Alberta on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 12:00 p.m., where he will be laid to rest
with Margaret. If desired, Memorial Donations in Garth’s honor may be made directly to the First Third
Ministry, Sunnybrook United Church, 12 Stanton Street, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 0B8.
