It is with great sadness that the family of Mr. Joseph ‘Romeo’ Martin announces his passing at the Innisfail Hospital, Innisfail, Alberta on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the age of 84 years. Romeo was born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick on October 18, 1939. He spent most of his adult life living in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Romeo moved to Alberta, and lived his last few years with his son, Andre. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children, Yvonne Michaelson (Dave), Andre Martin (Tracy), Andrea Murray (Chauncey); his ex-wife, Clara Carson-Maston; his grandchildren, Brandon, Theron, Krystina, Kayla, Kiara, Andre, Brooklyn, and his great grandchildren, Elijah and Oliver. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters, Mae Martin-Poulson (Leonard), Freda McMitchell (Bill), and Joyce Lyons (Kenny); and his brothers, Gerald Martin (Cathy) and Bobby Martin. Romeo was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Yvonne Martin (nee Robichaud), and his brothers, Ronnie, Clarence, Edward, and Leo.
Romeo’s family would like to thank all the Health Care Workers at the Innisfail Hospital and the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre who supported Romeo over the past few months.
