Margaret S. Hedges of Olds, Alberta passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at her care home, Prince of Peace, Calgary, Alberta at the age of 87 years.

Marg was born in Lacombe, Alberta, to Winefred and Daniel Sheridan. She was the sixth of seven children. After graduation, she moved to Olds and began her banking career with the Bank of Montreal, she worked there for thirty plus years. It was there that she also met her husband to be Darrell R. Hedges. They were married in 1961, they moved to a farm and had three children, David (Edmonton, Alberta), Terril (Andy, Vancouver, B.C.), and Shelley (Calgary, Alberta). Family meant everything to Marg. Every summer she invited her nieces and nephews to spend time at the farm riding horses, motorbikes and building forts. She also enjoyed square dancing, line dancing, and curling. Marg will be remembered for her easy-going attitude, her humor, laughter and her smile. She was always there to support and guide us in all our choices. We love her and will miss her dearly. Marg was predeceased by her parents, Daniel and Winefred Sheridan and her husband, Darrell Hedges.
