Kenneth Dale Andersen passed away at Bethany CollegeSide nursing home on Monday August 31, 2026, at the age of 87 years. He is survived by his two daughters, Brenda (Wayne) Abtosway and Bonnie (Randy) Andersen; five grandchildren, Nicole (Dwayne) Blackmore, Jayden Seemann, Jennifer Abtosway, Shae-lynn (Brayden) Sage and Jared (Emily) Seemann; and three great grandchildren, Blake, Brayden and Veya. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy (Herb) Rock and brother, Terry (Kathy) Andersen and several nieces and nephews. Ken was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Rosie Andersen and his wife, Lorraine Andersen. Ken was born January 24, 1939, in Gadsby, Alberta. He met the love of his life in Stettler, Alberta and they married on June 9, 1962. Ken and Lorraine moved to Red Deer, Alberta to raise their two daughters. Ken worked around Red Deer doing carpentry, leaving a legacy at Chinooks Edge. He enjoyed camping, quadding, fishing and travelling through the states with his wife and family. He especially loved Montana. He loved woodworking as a hobby as well and made a variety of keepsakes for his children and grandchildren including china cabinets, bookshelves and toy boxes. He also built an elaborate and impressive train room in his basement, which he enjoyed showing off. Ken will be deeply missed by many.
