Mrs. Margaret Rose ‘Marge’ Watson of Red Deer, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at the age of 85 years. Marge was a loving, and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched. Marge was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on October 24, 1938. She spent time raising a family in Thompson, and then moved to Lacombe, Alberta in 1975, to fulfill her career in the Hospitality Industry. Marge was known for having a green thumb and winning several awards, including being featured in the House and Home Magazine. Marge had a great love for animals. She enjoyed spending her winters in Arizona. The best part of heading down south was the stops in Las Vegas on the way there and back each year. Grounding and keeping a handle on Joe truly made Marge the rock of her family. Marge will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Joe Watson, her son, Perry Watson, her daughter-in-law, Nancy Watson, her six grandchildren, her seven great grandchildren, and her two great grand dogs Ajax and Tucker. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Edna Kalkie. Marge was predeceased by her sons, Dan and Al Watson, and her brothers, Harvey, George, and Richard. A Funeral Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
