Mr. Ronald William ‘Ron’ Bower, beloved husband of Mrs. Jean Bower, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, May 17, 2021 at the age of 82 years. Ron was born in Calgary, Alberta and raised in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. He worked for the Royal Bank of Canada from 1958 until 1996, when he retired to spend time with his family after thirty-eight years. Ron loved to camp with his wife and family, and served on the Board at Wilderness Village for several years. He was an active member of the community and loved his time at the Golden Circle; as well as his time with the Lions Club, Red Deer Shriners, Masonic Lodge, Elks Club, Job’s Daughters, and Square Dancing with his wife, Jean. Ron’s passion was dancing, no matter what the beat was; he lit up the dance floor with Jean. Ron leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Jean, his son, Kirk, his daughter, Tara (Len), his son, Craig and his grandchildren, Brittany (Josh), and Mark; great grandchildren Skye, Jenifer, Alex, Scarlet and Alasdair. He will also be sadly missed by his brother, Jim; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Ron will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him. No Formal Service will be held at this time. A Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at a later date. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
