Mr. Ralph Herbert Jordan of Bashaw, Alberta, passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the age of 84 years. Ralph was born on the farm in Manitoba, near Oak Lake, on January 30, 1937 to Cora and William Jordan. As a young man, Ralph worked in the Oilfield and pipeline, and then, later in life, he enjoyed his time being a farm hand for local farmers and Dairies in the Mirror area; as he loved to be around animals and being outdoors. Ralph also ran a greenhouse in the Mirror area, and was very well known for his green thumb. He loved his flowers, and in his later years, he took it upon himself to plant flowers around the Senior’s Home in Bashaw. He enjoyed fishing and sharing this pastime with his grandsons, and camping with friends. Ralph will be lovingly remembered by his children, Larry Jordan, Shawn (Kim) Jordan and Francine (Ivan) Wishlow and their families. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Faye Wilcox of Brandon, Manitoba; as well as numerous relatives and dear friends. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Cora and William Jordan; his brothers, Aubrey Jordan and Garry Jordan; and his sisters Gladys Cairns and Muriel Blackstock. A Celebration of Ralph’s Life will be planned at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
