Mr. Patrick ‘Pat’ Percy Bourk of Red Deer, Alberta passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his three loving daughters on Tuesday, August 04, 2026 at the age of 89 years.

He was born in Fairholme, Saskatchewan on February 6, 1937 to Laura Elizabeth and Robert

Alton Bourk and raised in Hornepayne, Ontario.

Patrick joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1954 at seventeen years of age. Soon thereafter

he met the love of his life, Delores Bourk (née Hadden) in Senneterre, Quebec. They married,

started a family, and their life-long journey together.

Pat was an avid sportsman. Some of his favorite activities included softball, hockey, hunting,

fishing, curling, bowling, and golf. In his free time he enjoyed socializing with friends, family,

and neighbours. He loved to travel, explore new destinations, and make new friends.

Pat was a “take charge” kind of man. He possessed strong leadership skills which were evident

while he coached hockey, in his service as Crew Chief and through his accomplishments with

projects such as engineering two Canada-wide Fighter Cop Ops (FCO) reunions. In his later

years he selflessly donated his time and energy to the Royal Canadian Legion, as well as

serving on the board of his residential community.

Patrick will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Cindy Bourk, Kim Schreiner (Vern), and

Colleen Bourk (Terry). Patrick will also be missed by his 5 grandchildren, 10 great-

grandchildren, as well as a multitude of friends and neighbours. He was predeceased by his

cherished wife Delores; his beloved son Barry; granddaughter Janel; parents Robert and Laura;

and brother Bradley.
