Lorna Fleeman passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the age of 88 years.
Lorna was born on December 25, 1937, in Lacombe, Alberta, to John and Olivia Stone. She was the eldest of their children. She worked for many years at the Associate Clinic before beginning her career at Johns Manville when the plant was first established. It was there that she met Cornelius Fleeman. The couple later moved to Winder, Georgia, USA, where Lorna resided for 45 years. She cherished her life in Winder and formed many lifelong friendships. Lorna was known for her talent in doll making and quilting. She also enjoyed reading and watching television, especially curling.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son John (Yvonne) Sim, her sister, Lois Hansen, her grandchildren, Jen Coultee and Kelsey (John) Maxwell, and her great grandchildren, Ash, Aliya, Rylee, Dani, and Tucker, as well as her nephew Keith (Julie) Hansen, and Niece Shawna (Kevin) Hansen.
Lorna was predeceased by her husband Cornelius Fleeman, and her brother-in-law, Bill Hansen.
