Mr. Charles ‘Charlie’ Frederick Taylor passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at the age of 86 years. Charlie was born in Strathmore, Alberta and took his schooling there. At the age of fourteen, he started working in a garage. The family moved to Caroline, Alberta in 1953 to start farming. At that time, he took on several different jobs that were available from garage work and lumber camps, construction on building schools, oilfield, cat operating, pipeline, and farming. Charlie was an avid fisherman, hunter, and trapper. He loved the mountains, trail riding and cooked for hunting camps, for guides and outfitters. On the farm, he raised cattle and horses, and broke horses to ride and drive. He had a quick wit about him. Charlie loved doing things with and for his family and instilled many things to his girls and grandchildren. Charlie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of sixty-one years, Elisabeth, his three daughters, Lorna Taylor (Ken), Joan Taylor (Bill) and Donna (Rene) Dubord, his eight grandchildren, Robert, Jacklyn (Blake), Kayla (Josh), Devin, Stephanie (Kyle), Jeffrey (Dana), Victoria (Bryce) and Rebecca (Aaron) and his four great grandsons, He will also be sadly missed by his three sisters, Marjorie Murtha, Ruth Dirk and Mable Hansen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Fred Taylor, and Agnes (Benz) Taylor, his three brothers-in-law, four nephews and a niece. At Charlies request, no formal Memorial Service will be held.
