It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph “Edward” Winczura.
Edward passed away peacefully, with family at his side, on November 29, 2021 at the age of 85 years.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Sandy, his children; Lisa (Tom), Laura (Ron), Stacy (Neil) and Josh (Lindsay), stepsons; Sheldon (Sheila) and Shane; 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Donald and Gordon; sisters Doris and Jean.
Edward was predeceased by: his parents, John and Anne; sisters Mary and Olga; brothers Louis, Alfred and Ross.
Ed will be fondly remembered as happy and go lucky, he always had a smile on his face and a new joke to tell. One of Ed’s favourite pastimes was spending the day playing cards with his family. He had no problem kicking someone’s butt in a game of crib or winning the pot of quarters in a rowdy game of ‘31’.
Ed will be missed by his family and friends and we know he’s already dealing out a game of cards waiting to win the next hand. At Edward’s request there will be no service.
Memorial donations, if you so choose, may be made to S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance.
