Jacob ‘Jack’ Klassen went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the age of 88 years, surrounded by his loving family, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Jack was born on April 25, 1936, at Blumenhof, Saskatchewan to George and Katherine Klassen. He was the middle of ten siblings. Jack was a hardworking man and a good provider for his family. After schooling, he worked at many jobs eventually finding an interest in the electrical field. He ran his own business, United Motor Electric, for many years in Swift Current, Saskatchewan before moving to British Columbia. After 3 years the family moved to Red Deer, Alberta in 1977, for greater opportunities. Many great friends were made over the years. Jack will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of sixty-five years, Vi; his four children, Tom (Sue), Kelly (Joann), Wendy (Ross), and Nancy (Shaun); his nine grandchildren and his nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by four sisters, one brother and numerous other family members and dear friends. Jack was predeceased by his son, Gregory; his parents, his three brothers and one sister. A Celebration of Jack’s Life was held at the Salvation Army Church, 4837 – 54 Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, September 30, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment was also held at Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer.
