My dad after 90 years on this earth has quietly left on his next journey. At 11:58 a.m. on Sunday, December 28, 2025, my father took his last breath after a lengthy life and illness. To honor my dad’s wishes, there will be no service. He will be cremated and released along a favorite road of his in the back of a truck until his ashes are gone. His wishes! He drove over 7.2 million kilometers in his life as a trucker. Met a lot of people along the way. Considered a lot of people friends. My dad had 1000 plus stories to tell, could still remember things from when he was 3 years old in Belgium. He was a skilled driver, mechanic, fisherman and outdoorsman. What I would want people to know about my dad… he was strong, resilient, capable and had Superman powers to live as long as he did. My dad will forever be loved, remembered and dearly missed by so many including his children, grandchildren and surviving siblings nieces and nephews. He lived to the ripe old age of 90 and I’m happy and grateful we were here to celebrate with him. Take a well deserved rest pops, you did amazing making it to 90!
