Peter was born June 18, 1935, in Codroipo, Udine, Italy to Argentina and Emilio Rossi. He was the eldest of three brothers.
In 1955, Peter immigrated to Canada to make a better life for himself, and landed in Halifax, before making his way to Crowsnest Pass, and then to Calgary where he lived most of his adult life. He married Trisha and they had a daughter Andrea, who was his pride and joy.
He proudly became a Canadian citizen in 1997.
He was a cabinetmaker/finisher carpenter by trade and worked for Atco for most of his working life.
Peter loved, and was an avid fisherman, and was an accomplished ballroom dancer. He enjoyed any music you could dance to, and was a fan of Elvis, who he fondly remembers seeing in Toronto in the late 50’s, when they were both young men.
After he retired from carpentry, he moved to Olds, where he lived with his friend, Florence. Once he become ill, he moved back to Calgary, first to Silvera Confederation, then to Silvera Gilchrest, and finally to Southwood where he passed at the age of 89 years.
Peter is survived by his daughter Andrea; brother Ermes (Cheryl), nephew Dale (Monika); nieces Dianna (Tim), Susan (Gord), Laura (Russell), Tanya (Kent) and their children.
Peter was predeceased in death by his parents, Argentina and Emilio; his brother Olindo and sister in law Shirley, ex wife Trisha and his nephew Lawrence.
