It is with great sadness and love, that the family announces the passing of Mrs. Julie Housch (nee Slywka), of Pine Lake, Alberta on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the age of 86 years. Julie was happiest on her acreage watching the birds, gardening and enjoying all of nature. She loved to do puzzles, play cards and she had a passion for cooking and sharing her creations with family and friends. Julie always had a twinkle in her eyes, while enjoying quiet time with her husband. Julie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of fifty-four years, Larry Housch of Pine Lake, Alberta, and her one brother, Peter Slywka of Gull Lake, Saskatchewan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Julie was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Peter Slywka, her sisters, Annie Pivovar, Olga Mandziak, Mary Klisowsky, Helen Kanciruk and Pauline Chrapchynski, and her brothers, Nick, Fred, John and Walter Slywka. Larry wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Jansen and the incredible nurses and doctors attending to Julie at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre Emergency Ward. A Celebration of Life will be announced and take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, if desired, Memorial Donations in Julie’s honor may be made directly to a Charity of the Donor’s choice.
